We were thrilled to host the very first ABCN Leadership Summit on the 13th and 14th of August this year for our inaugural ABCN Scholarship Foundation winners from around Australia.
2020欧洲杯晋级队伍The two-day event for students and their mentors began with lunch kindly hosted by the Commonwealth Bank, providing an excellent opportunity to meet, mingle and network. This was followed by sessions on both days facilitated by Craig Griffin of Team Performance Advisory that included effective communication, goal-setting and leadership skills.
In South Australia, ABCN was recently acknowledged with an award for the GOALS and Career Choice Day programs we ran with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Nominated by Le Fevre High School, who had participated in both programs, the award was presented jointly to both ABCN and PwC by Western Futures, at their annual School and Business Partnership dinner.
Six years ago, Michelle Sabe travelled to Melbourne city with her fellow Year 10 students from Roxburgh College in Victoria, to participate in one of ABCN’s popular programs, Career Choice Day. Little did she know then, this day would change her life in a way she previously could not have imagined.
Earlier this year we ran an extremely successful pilot program called Engage2020欧洲杯晋级队伍 – a mentoring program designed for high school students that targets critical public speaking and communication skills. The program was developed in response to concerns that students from high-needs schools have minimal opportunities to acquire the skills that will enable them speak confidently and comfortably in front of others.
